There are plenty of big movers in the FPL transfer market this week.

Midfielders in particular are under the microscope, with Manchester United’s trip to Arsenal proving problematic to navigate. So who are the top picks to stay invested in?

With the help of Fantasy Football Hub’s powerful AI Points Predictions tool, here are the best midfield selections for FPL Gameweek 4.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah is on an elite list of players to provide an attacking return in each of the opening three gameweeks. Hopefully he remains on penalties having fluffed his lines against Bournemouth in Gameweek 2, since this is an added route to fantasy points.

Salah has solid underlying numbers with ten shots on goal and five key passes. He’s currently justifying his price tag and Darwin Nunez playing himself into form could help Liverpool’s attack in general too.

Phil Foden

Phil Foden’s demotion to the bench against Sheffield United caused some surprise but the Manchester City midfielder was managed due to illness and still came on to grab an assist. His owners should look to hang on to him ahead of a plum home fixture against Fulham.

Foden has some enhanced involvement in set pieces in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne and will be relied on as their key creator, having made 11 key passes which ranks him third in the league so far this season. He has huge potential for this week and beyond.

Bukayo Saka

Don’t discount Arsenal attackers for their home game against Manchester United, especially with some key defensive injuries for their opponents with Luke Shaw and Raphael Varane both ruled out.

Saka appears to be back on penalties for the Gunners and is the shining light in their attack with nine shots on goal and nine key passes this season. He’s also heavily involved in their other set pieces, having taken the most corners so far.

James Maddison

James Maddison repaid his loyal owners’ faith last weekend with his first Spurs goal against Bournemouth after rumours suggested he could miss out altogether with a knock. He continues to show his worth as an FPL asset and the new talisman of this Spurs side.

Maddison is ranked top for penalty area entries this season with 41 and second for crosses with 25. He leads every metric in Spurs ranks with nine key passes and seven shots in the box, showcasing his ability to rack up both goals and assists.
