Paris Saint-Germain predicted lineup vs Lens

Paris Saint-Germain fans have been severely underwhelmed by the start the team has made to the new Ligue 1 season under Luis Enrique with a lot of pressure now riding on this match against Lens.

PSG have drawn both of their Ligue 1 games so far against Lorient and Toulouse and are yet to play one of their potential challengers for the title.

Lens have made a poor start too, drawing one game and losing the other, so neither side will be brimming with confidence when they take to the Parc des Princes turf on Saturday night.

With only two points taken from a possible six, here is the team Luis Enrique could choose to deliver a first win of the season for PSG.

Kylian Mbappé

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma – Transfer rumours had started to swirl briefly about the Italian goalkeeper but he is not expected to move anywhere this late in the window and will continue as the PSG number one.

RB: Achraf Hakimi – As guaranteed of his place as Donnarumma is. Hakimi is undroppable for PSG and will be trying to make a difference down the wing on Saturday.

CB: Marquinhos – It seems the Brazilian has secured the place alongside Milan Skriniar at the centre of this defence, but he will be tested once Presnel Kimpembe gets back to full fitness.

CB: Milan Skriniar – Skriniar’s lack of action at the end of the 2022/23 season with Inter has not affected the Slovakian, who has settled at PSG very nicely.

LB: Lucas Hernandez – Much like Skriniar, Hernandez has dropped into PSG’s defence quickly after his summer arrival from Bayern Munich.

CM: Warren Zaire-Emery – The youngster has done a superb job to become such an important part of the PSG team and seems set to start a lot of matches this season under Enrique.

CM: Manuel Ugarte – Another new signing who has acclimatised very well, Ugarte has been doing his job calmly and already looks undroppable.

CM: Fabian Ruiz The Spaniard has become something of a rotational player at PSG since leaving Napoli but still has the talent to show why he should be a regular starter.

RW: Ousmane Dembele – The new signing from Barcelona is expected to make his first start back in Ligue 1 and it will be interesting to see if he can consistently deliver on his early promise.

ST: Goncalo Ramos Still searching for that first PSG goal, the Portuguese forward will not want to let the wait go on too long.

LW: Kylian Mbappe – Set for his first start of the season after the contract drama, Mbappe scored last week and will be a favourite to net again. We will also see what kind of reaction the PSG home crowd gives him.
