Some of the most popular formations on Football Manager 2024 revolve around the genius of an attacking midfielder.
Finding the right player to orchestrate your attack is crucial to your success in FM24 and, thankfully, there are plenty of options out there regardless of how much you’ve got to work with.
Here are 90min’s tips for attacking midfielders to sign in FM24.
Alvaro Fidalgo
America
An absolute steal on FM23, Fidalgo is a massive bargain once again this year. At just £500,000, you’re getting a player who is good enough to compete in the major leagues.
Alexey Miranchuk
Atalanta
Atalanta have stuck Miranchuk on the transfer list and will cash in for as little as £5.8m, but you can try and wait a little longer and hope his asking price drops further.
Josue
Legia
At 32, Legia star Josue isn’t bursting with pace anymore but his 18 passing, 18 vision and 17 dribbling should make him an outstanding creative hub for smaller sides.
Pizzi
BRG
The veteran Pizzi is a nice, well-rounded midfield option and is very affordable at just £2m. He’s got 15s and 14s all over his attributes page.
Jose Carlos Lazo
Espanyol
Comfortable on either wing as well, Lazo’s £3.3m asking price seems like solid value for somebody with 15 dribbling, 15 finishing and 14 vision.
Paulo Dybala
AS Roma
Dybala’s release clause is outrageous. £17.25m for Serie A clubs and just £10.25m for foreign sides – you won’t find much better than that.
Oliver
Sevilla
Sevilla’s willingness to listen to offers for every player will see them sell you Oliver for £15.25m. He’s an excellent creator who can fill in a number of positions.
Carlos Alcaraz
Southampton
Southampton managed to hold on to a lot of their top talents after dropping down to the Championship, with Alcaraz perhaps the pick of the bunch. His £15m asking price is a steal.
Pedro Goncalves
Sporting CP
With 16 finishing, Goncalves is a major goal threat whose 15 passing also makes him a great creator. Sporting value the 25-year-old at £31m.
Ricardo Horta
BRG
Horta’s £25.5m release clause isn’t as eye-catching as that of Dybala, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still excellent value.
Piotr Zielinski
Parthenope
£42m will get you the 17 passing and 16 vision of Zielinski, whose contract is up at the end of the season. It’s up to you if you want to risk waiting for a free transfer.
Denis Suarez
Villarreal
A real pass-first midfielder, Suarez is valued at £31m by Villarreal. With 17 vision and 16 passing, you can’t really complain about that sort of price tag.
Dani Olmo
RB Leipzig
Leipzig will demand Olmo’s £51m release clause be triggered, and while that may seem steep, it’s actually a pretty solid price for a 25-year-old with the potential to get a lot better.
Brais Mendez
Real San Sebastian
A threat in midfield or out on the right, Mendez looks like a really nice player with 15s all over. A price tag of £28.5m makes him one to consider.
