Top rated La Liga players

Given the Spanish top-flight is now officially known as La Liga EA Sports, it’s probably worth taking a look at how the division may be represented in EA Sports FC 24.

Alongside the Premier League, La Liga has always been one of the most popular leagues on FIFA (now EA Sports FC), boasting some of the game’s highest rated superstars.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have battled for supremacy in the past, especially in the Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi era, with fans on tenterhooks each year to see which one of the goliaths would have the highest overall rating.

Now both have departed, space has opened up for some of the other top players in the division, so let’s look at the top La Liga players in EA Sports FC 24.

Of the players who still play in La Liga as of this season, goalkeepers generally reign supreme in FIFA 23.

The two highest rated shot-stoppers are the Real and Atletico Madrid goalkeepers Thibaut Courtois and Jan Oblak, with Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen not too far behind.

In terms of outfield players, Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski leads the way with the joint highest rating in the game, while the eternal duo of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are not too far behind.

There is set to be a few changes in the top ten for La Liga players in EA Sports FC 24, with a couple of the old guard perhaps making way for newer stars.

The likes of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba may all be in danger of a downgrade, although it’s unlikely all of them will lose their place in the top ten.

Meanwhile, Vinicius Junior should receive a significant upgrade and will likely be joined by his new teammate Jude Bellingham in the top ten. The English midfielder was 84-rated on FIFA 23 with Borussia Dortmund and should be somewhere near the 87-89 mark.

Several of the 85-rated players who just missed out on the top ten have left La Liga such as Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, although Ilkay Gundogan could replace them given he has the same rating on FIFA 23.

The likes of Pedri, Federico Valverde and Antoine Griezmann could receive significant boosts oFf the back of wonderful seasons and may be hopeful of breaking into the top ten.
