Tottenham predicted lineup vs Brighton – Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur are back on track under Ange Postecoglou as they go in search of a fourth-straight win on Thursday with a trip to Brighton.

A gritty and fortunate 2-1 victory over Everton on Saturday brought plenty of festive cheer to N17, and recent injury updates have fans excited over what the club could achieve by the time 2023/24 draws to a close.

Their festive schedule continues in midweek on the south coast against a Brighton side that are without a win in three league games. It’s bound to be an idealistic duel as Postecoglou and Roberto De Zerbi clash for the first time.

Here’s how Tottenham could line up against the Seagulls.

GK: Guglielmo Vicario – The Italian once again proved his worth by preserving Tottenham’s victory over Everton with a couple of outstanding saves late on.

RB: Pedro Porro – Only Vicario and Dejan Kulusevski have played more Premier League minutes for Spurs than the ever-improving Porro this term.

CB: Cristian Romero – The vice-captain picked up a hamstring injury at the weekend, but his half-time withdrawal was only a precaution. He should be fine for Thursday.

CB: Ben Davies – There’s hope that Micky van de Ven will be back in January, but Davies – more often than not – has been excellent in the Dutchman’s absence.

LB: Destiny Udogie – While Emerson Royal is emerging as a useful and versatile squad player, he’s no Udogie. The Italian international returns to the lineup after serving a one-game suspension.

DM: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – Oliver Skipp struggled at the base of midfield on Saturday, so we could see Ange make a switch with Yves Bissouma suspended.

CM: Pape Matar Sarr – The relentless Senegalese international is a critical figure in midfield, and he’ll be especially important on Thursday considering Brighton’s proficiency in progressing through the thirds.

CM: Dejan Kulusevski – The Swede endured one of his quieter outings in recent times at the weekend, but there’s no doubt that Kulusevski will remain in the side – and likely in midfield.

RW: Brennan Johnson – May require refinement in some areas, but there’s no denying that he makes things happen in the final third. Johnson was involved in both goals against Everton.

ST: Richarlison – The Brazilian is enduring his best scoring run in a Spurs shirt and is undoubtedly looking sharper since undergoing surgery.

LW: Son Heung-min – Despite scoring, Son was unusually inefficient in the final third at the weekend. The South Korean has been in brilliant form this season, nonetheless.
