Tottenham predicted lineup vs Lion City Sailors

Ange Postecoglou will oversee his second match as Tottenham boss when Spurs face Singapore giants Lion City Sailors on Wednesday.

After a 3-2 defeat to West Ham which was far more positive than the scoreline would suggest, Postecoglou will expect to secure his first win against Lion City, one of Singapore’s most successful teams.

Spurs’ pre-season preparations were disrupted on Sunday as poor weather saw their planned friendly with Leicester in Thailand cancelled.

Here’s how Postecoglou could set up for this one.

GK: Guglielmo Vicario – With Hugo Lloris back home sorting out an exit from the club, the Vicario era is officially upon us.

RB: Pedro Porro – Many have doubts over Porro’s suitability for a back four but the early signs under Postecoglou have been promising.

CB: Cristian Romero – Spurs are on the hunt for a new centre-back to partner Romero, whose spot on the team sheet is assured.

CB: Japhet Tanganga – This spot is very much up for grabs so expect Tanganga and Joe Rodon to give their all to try to prove their worth to Postecoglou.

LB: Destiny Udogie – Fans are already getting excited for the future with Udogie, who seems set for a huge role under the new boss.

DM: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – There has been plenty of talk of an exit for Hojbjerg so Postecoglou will have to ensure the Dane’s head is still in the right place before selecting him.

DM: Yves Bissouma – Bissouma appears to be loving life under the new boss after a tricky debut year at the club.

RM: Dejan Kulusevski – The Swede linked up well with Porro in the first game and feels like an integral part of what Postecoglou is trying to do.

AM: James Maddison – Spurs’ new star midfielder, Maddison needs to bring a level of creativity which hasn’t been seen at the club since Christian Eriksen’s peak.

LM: Manor Solomon – One of the more intriguing signings of the summer, the ceiling for Solomon is sky high if Postecoglou can get through to him.

ST: Harry Kane – Postecoglou has spoken about Kane’s future more than anything else since joining the club and will want assurances that the England international is still ready to give his all.
