Tottenham vs West Ham – Pre-season friendly: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction

Tottenham and West Ham meet in an all-Premier League pre-season friendly in Perth, Australia on Tuesday.

It’s Spurs’ first outing of the summer and their first game under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou, the new boss tasked with improving on the north London side’s eighth place finish in the Premier League last term.

Europa Conference League winners West Ham are yet to make a major summer signing and have lost Declan Rice to Arsenal but the Irons have already played two friendly matches and came out victorious on both occasions.

Tottenham announced their pre-season squad on Friday, with Bayern Munich target Harry Kane included alongside new summer signings James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario and Manor Solomon.

Stalwart goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has publicly told of his desire to leave and didn’t get on the plane, while Rodrigo Bentancur, Fraser Forster, Bryan Gil, Troy Parrott and Ryan Sessegnon have injuries of varying significance.

In manager Ange Postecoglou’s first game in charge, Spurs are expected to return to a more conventional 4-3-3 formation.

(4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dier, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Solomon, Kane, Son.

West Ham have already had their first game of the post Declan Rice era, beating Perth Glory 6-2 at Optus Stadium. There were starts for Danny Ings and Gianluca Scamacca, who both scored in the opening 20 minutes.

Jarrod Bowen came off the bench to score twice and may feature from the outset on Tuesday. The likes of Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell may also hope for starts after featuring as substitutes. Said Benrahma and Lucas Paqueta have not travelled with the squad.

(4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Laing, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Downes, Potts; Bowen, Scamacca, Chesters; Ings.

It’s all change at Tottenham as incoming boss Postecoglou attempts to shift the club’s recent wayward mindset while navigating the intense speculation surrounding key striker Kane.

Spurs are yet to play in pre-season while the Hammers have already had two outings; a 4-1 victory over Boreham Wood before their thrashing of Perth Glory. David Moyes’ Europa Conference League winners will fly home after Tuesday’s game and may return to the United Kingdom with some early London derby bragging rights.

Prediction: West Ham 3-2 Tottenham
