7th Season of My Hero Academia Anime Set to Premiere in Spring 2024

The seventh season of the anime adaptation of Khei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga is planned to appear on our screens in the vibrant season of spring 2024, according to the second 2024 edition of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. To add to the excitement, the manga will take a one-issue break on December 18, only to return joyfully in the magazine’s combined fourth and fifth issue on December 25.

But that’s not all: the anime is planning a fourth film to captivate spectators. Khei Horikoshi will serve as general supervisor and original character designer, delivering a thrilling experience for fans. The plot of the film will run parallel to the current TV anime plotline, diving into the disruption of a once-safe society.

My Hero Academia has become a cultural sensation since its debut in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014. The manga’s 39th compiled volume, released on November 2, has established its position as a fan favorite. English readers can also participate in the thrilling adventures digitally and in print, thanks to Viz Media and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service.

The anime adaptation began with a 13-episode first season in April 2016, followed by a 25-episode second season in April 2017. Subsequent seasons debuted in April of their respective years, gaining a loyal fan base. Because of the franchise’s popularity, a two-episode original video anime will be released in August 2020, followed by the fifth season in March 2021.

The momentum continued with the release of a new two-episode original video anime in June 2022 and the premiere of the highly acclaimed sixth season in October 2022. The sixth season, which spanned two successive lessons and a total of 25 episodes, demonstrated the determination of UA Heroes.
