Calling all armchair critics! Betting website will pay movie buff $2,000 and award them with a new TV if they correctly predict Oscar winners

Calling all movie buffs and armchair critics!

Your dream job of guessing who will win in each of the Oscars categories has now come true.

TestCasinos.com, a global company that tests online casino websites, is on the hunt for one person to watch this year’s line-up and predict the winners.

Applicants must binge-watch this year’s nominees, including American Fiction, Anatomy Of A Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Killers Of The Flower Moon, Maestro, Oppenheimer, Past Lives, Poor Things and The Zone of Interest.

Whoever wins has to predict the award for Best Picture and predict who will win Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.

In return they will be paid $2,000 and receive a $500 DoorDash gift card to buy snacks for their movie haul along with a new 65-inch TV to watch them on.

The 96th Academy Awards will take place on March 10 at 7pm ET and will be broadcasted from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California, with returning host Jimmy Kimmel.

Interested candidates must submit their applications by March 3. Applicants must be US residents and over the age of 18.

While determining the best films and performances, candidates will need to follow the scoring criteria based on five factors: Emotional resonance, entertainment impact, memorability meter, creativity quotient and social buzz probability.

This comes after DailyMail.com confirmed that Ryan Gosling will take the stage to perform Barbie’s nominated hit song at the award show next month.

Inside sources confirm the Canadian-born actor, 43, who himself is up for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Ken in the summer blockbuster, will be singing ‘I’m Just Ken’ at the star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles on March 10.

The idea for the live performance has been the subject of speculation since Gosling and the hit number were announced among this year’s Oscar nominations last month – while the film’s female lead Margot Robbie and director Greta Gerwig were snubbed.

And while it is customary for a Best Original Song nominee to be performed during the award show, the prospect of the special performance by Gosling became overshadowed by the controversy.

Barbie received a total of eight Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress for America Ferrera, and Best Original Song for Ken’s existential track, I’m Just Ken.

The Academy’s controversial decision sparked a wider debate about sexism in the industry among actors and fans alike on social media, and even saw Gosling issue an extraordinary statement in support of his female colleagues.

Oppenheimer dominated the Academy Award nominations – bagging 13 nods, including best picture and best star for Cillian Murphy.

The impressive total – which also includes best supporting actor and actress for Robert Downey Jr. and Emily Blunt, as well as best director for Christopher Nolan – is just one nomination short of the all-time record set by Titanic in 1998.

Barbie’s star Margot Robbie was not nominated for best actress, and Greta Gerwig was not nominated for best director.

Another surprise saw America Ferrara nominated for best supporting actress over her role in Barbie, with pundits saying her character’s impassioned speech on feminism had sealed the deal.

Barbie’s other nominations include best picture, best supporting actor for Ryan Gosling and two nods for best song – including Gosling’s famed ‘I’m Just Ken.’

The second most-nominated movie was Poor Things, a graphic art house movie starring Emma Stone that has wowed critics but so-far failed to set the box office alight.

Stone plays a sex-crazed young woman, with her performance wowing critics. She previously won best actress in 2017 for her performance in La La Land.

For best actor in leading role Bradley Cooper and Cillian Murphy are set to duke it out for the award. Colman Domingo, Paul Giamatti and Jeffrey Wright received nominations as well.

Leonardo DiCaprio was not recognized for his acting on Killers Of The Flower Moon.

Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things took home 11 Oscar nominations and Killers of the Flower Moon landed 10.

Annette Bening, Lily Gladstone, Sandra Huller, Carey Mulligan and Emma Stone have been nominated for best actress in a leading role.

Gladstone is the first Native American nominated for best actress, for her performance in Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon.

What Was I Made For and I’m Just Ken from Barbie received their expected nominations for best original song.

Sterling K. Brown, Robert De Niro, Robert Downey Jr., Ryan Gosling and Mark Ruffalo received nominations for best actor in a supporting role.

Emily Blunt, Danielle Brooks, America Ferrera, Jodie Foster and Da’Vine Joy Randolph received nominations for best actress in a supporting role.

Joy has been defying Hollywood’s mold of how a leading lady should look. She already has a Golden Globe and is favorite for a Bafta and an Oscar for her performance as a bereaved cook in The Holdovers.

Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer were nominated for best directing, snubbing Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.
