Chris Brown A ‘Fugitive’ In England After Allegedly Hitting Man With Tequila Bottle

Rapper Chris Brown is facing a lawsuit after he allegedly smashed a Don Julio 1942 Tequila bottle over the head of a producer.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, during his 2023 ‘Under the Influence’ tour, promoted by Live Nation in the United Kingdom, Chris Brown “brutally assaulted” a producer at a TAPE nightclub in London.

The “Run It!” artist allegedly chucked a large bottle of Don Julio Tequila at the victim’s head, which he then suffered from severe and lasting injuries.

The victim reportedly was left lying unconscious on the ground, but that did not stop Brown from “ruthlessly stomping” on him for approximately 30 seconds.

In the filing, the victim claims he ended up in the hospital with lacerations on his head and torn ligaments in his leg following the altercation with Chris Brown at the London nightclub.

After the information was released, the rapper fled the country and the suit claims he is now considered a “fugitive at large” in the United Kingdom.

The victim is suing Chris Brown for an undisclosed amount, but the lawsuit does mention the hospital and medical expenses.

The incident occurred in the early house of February 19, 2023, while on Brown’s 2023 ‘Under the Influence’ Tour and reportedly started with him “Wielding a large bottle of Don Julio 1942 Tequila as his weapon,” and assaulting the producer, leaving severe head injuries before he “ruthlessly stomped” on the “defenseless” victim.

This recent incident comes as no surprise, considering Chris Brown’s “extensive history of violence”.

Over the last 15 years, Brown has been involved in many instances of assaults, many of which have even been worldwide news. Some of these instances, though far from an exhaustive list, are “reminders of Brown’s brutal nature and his inability to live within the boundaries of the law,” the docs state.

The “Under the Influence” Tour was named as a way to attract fans who were aware of Chris Brown’s prior criminal behavior history, and “monetize Brown’s hotheaded persona,” which clearly worked as the tour grossed over $10,000,000.

The victim is now suing, claiming that after the assault at the nightclub, he was left in the hospital to recover from “serious and permanent injuries” while Chris Brown and Live Nation walked away with millions from the tour.

Brown’s history of substance abuse and physical violence may have contributed to the incident, according to the suit, as the rapper was reportedly drinking, which “impaired his judgment and contributed to his irrational and aggressive behavior that led to the vicious attack” on the victim.

According to the lawsuit, the entirety of the assault was captured in surveillance footage by TAPE Club, which was obtained by the Metropolitan Police in London.

The police department showed the victim the footage, in which he identified Chris Brown.

Once the Metropolitan Police went to question Chris Brown regarding the assault, he failed to appear at the scheduled meetings, and instead, fled the United Kingdom, back to the United States. He is currently considered a fugitive in the United Kingdom.

Brown has not responded to the allegations.
