The CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023 is taking place from August 28 and September 16, 2023. This year, the event is jointly hosted by Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Israel as host nations. A total of 24 national teams initially took part in the competition, although eight teams are currently battling in the competition. These are Slovenia, Ukraine, France, Romania, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and Serbia, which are competing for the coveted spot in the semi-finals.
In addition to the prestigious European title, the teams will be getting another crucial reward which is the berth for the FIVB Men’s World Volleyball Championship 2025. The three highest-ranking teams from the European Championships 2023 will earn their berth. However, as the reigning world title holders, Italy has already secured its participation in the upcoming global event.
On September 11, 2023, France will lock horns with Romania at the CEV Men’s European Volleyball Championship 2023. France advanced to the quarter-final stage after defeating Bulgaria 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-15). On the other hand, Romania stormed into the quarters after emerging victorious against Croatia in a nail-biting contest by 3-2.
