Grace Jabbari Weeps In Court Over Footage

Marvel star Jonathan Majors‘ ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari continued her testimony for the third consecutive day since taking the witness stand on Tuesday.

During today’s cross-examination, Jabbari was shown a grainy security video clip of herself at a nightclub by Majors’ lawyers in an attempt to disprove her claims that she was in “excruciating pain” after the duo’s car altercation.

Jabbari alleged that the actor twisted her arm and fingers after taking his phone from him during a spat and also struck her in the face several times.

The accuser also claimed on day 5 of the trial during her testimony that she chose not to involve the police in Majors’ alleged previous violent actions because he is a “Black man.”

Priya Chaudhry, one of Majors’ lawyers, presented Jabbari with video footage of her trip to a nightclub within hours after the alleged attack, which left her in “excruciating” pain.

Jabbari was grilled by Chaudhry over the clip, which showed the 30-year-old seemingly making full use of the hand she claimed was injured during Majors’ alleged attack. The lawyer had earlier asked the professional dancer to confirm if she was right-handed, which she confirmed.

In the video clip shown in court, Jabbari could be seen using the injured hand to carry out various tasks like lifting up a champagne glass, adjusting her hair, and going through her bag.

“You picked up the lime with your right hand?” Chaudhry asked Jabbari. “And you put the lime in your mouth? You sucked on the lime, and then you put the rest of the lime rind back on the bar with your right hand, correct?”

Responding to the questions, Jabbari stated that due to an adrenaline rush, she was unaware of how bad her injuries were until she slept and woke up the following day feeling “like [she] got hit by a bus.”

Jabbari, who appeared in court donning a black turtleneck sweater that had white polka dots on it, got very emotional during the cross-examination and even left the witness stand at some point to take a break.

A few months ago, Chaudhry had released some of the footage of Jabbari to the press, claiming that it was “irrefutable” evidence of Majors’ innocence. During jury selection, several potential jurors admitted to seeing said footage, which inadvertently made them lose the ability to deliberate the case fairly. None of these people who had confessed to watching the video were selected as members of the jury in Majors’ trial.

At some point during the process, Majors’ accuser told the defense, “I’m going to be sick.” Jabbari cried on multiple occasions during the cross-examination and severally pleaded with the defense that she did not want to watch some of the footage she was presented with.

One of the clips that seemed to bother the 30-year-old dancer was body-camera footage from a police officer who found Jabbari at the home she shared with the Marvel star the day after the alleged attack incident.

While viewing the video on a laptop with headphones on, Jabbari covered her eyes and lifted her head to the ceiling, saying through tears, “I really don’t want to watch this.” The clip, which was privately shown to Jabbari, was eventually played for the jury and public to view.

In the body-camera footage, Jabbari was shown on the floor of the penthouse she had recently moved into with Majors. She had a multicolored blanket wrapped around her as she noted that she had been sick “in the sheets, which is disgusting.”

Jonathan Majors Calmly Watches Body-Camera Footage

While Jabbari couldn’t stand watching the video clip of herself, Majors, on the other hand, watched calmly with his eyebrow raised for the most part.

The actor didn’t seem to have any other reactions to the clip and has maintained the same calm and collected demeanor since the beginning of the court proceedings. Like the past few days, the actor arrived at court along with his girlfriend, Meagan Good, and his mother, Terri.

According to People Magazine, Jabbari’s cross-examination on Thursday was peppered with over 50 sustained objections, during which Judge Michael Gaffey reprimanded the defense about vague questions.

The British dancer’s testimony will continue for a fourth consecutive day on Friday. The Manhattan prosecutors have since stated that after Jabbari, there will be at least a dozen more witnesses called to take the stand in the “Loki” actor’s misdemeanor assault trial.
