Ivanka Trump Seems Unfazed After Testifying In Daddy’s Fraud Trial

Ivanka Trump isn’t letting her father Donald Trump‘s fraud case weigh her down!

The New York native took to social media to post an unbothered picture of herself after taking the stand to defend her father in court. Her appearance marked the highly anticipated conclusion to an unprecedented eight days of witness testimony, which included her father and three of his adult children, including Ivanka.

On Thursday, Ivanka posted a black and white mirror selfie highlighting only her face and well-defined cheekbones. The mirror, which was set atop a table, showed the 42-year-old looking down at the phone in her hand as her blond locks flowed down her shoulders.

Also seen in the picture was what appeared to be a scented candle and a laptop with an owl image on top. Additionally, multiple buildings were sighted in the background of the shot, which she set to the tune of Jay-Z’s 2009 collaboration with Alicia Keys, “Empire State of Mind” and “✨🌃.”

Besides getting over 12k likes in less than an hour, the comments section of the Instagram post was filled with praise and support for the former director of the Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship.

“Absolutely love this picture,” one person gushed, as a second declared, “You are an inspiration to all young women, stay strong and beautiful on the inside out.” A third fan exclaimed, “You are doing amazing Ivanka!! Keep the fight going!,” and a fourth chimed in, “You looked great yesterday. Keep your head held high! A lot of us see what’s really going on here. Waste of time and resources!”

A fifth Instagram user dubbed, “Beauty, Poise, and Brains,” while a sixth stated, “Awesome as always Ivanka,” and a seventh reiterated, “Gorgeous first daughter. You looked absolutely beautiful yesterday!” Meanwhile, this person commented, “It’s giving “I don’t recall,” referencing Ivanka’s words when she took the stand in court on Wednesday.

In case you missed it, “The Apprentice” boardroom judge had claimed to have zero recollection of the property deals she managed at her father’s firm. “I wasn’t involved in his statement of financial condition. That would have been the company,” she said when asked about her father’s financial statements.

When state attorneys presented an email she sent to the then-Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg regarding a loan during the proceedings, where she wrote, “It doesn’t get better than this,” Ivanka simply replied that she didn’t recall the message.

According to BBC, a judge has previously found Donald and his two sons — Donald Jr. and Eric — liable for fraud, determining that they inflated assets to secure favorable loans. Initially a co-defendant, Ivanka was removed from the case following an appeals court ruling in her favor earlier this year.

The outlet reported that this trial involved allegations of falsifying business records, insurance fraud, and conspiracy. Donald, along with his sons — Donald Jr. and Eric, is accused of wrongdoing, and potential consequences include the loss of prized assets like Trump Tower.

Ivanka’s Legal Team Fought Against Her Appearance In Court

Prior to Ivanka feigning memory loss, The Blast reported that she’d contested testifying, arguing that she couldn’t leave her children in Florida during a school week.

The Blast shared that her lawyers had argued against her testifying claiming she had left her role as an executive vice president of Trump Organization in 2017 and never returned to the family business.

However, the court rejected Ivanka’s lawyer’s motion to dismiss the subpoena for her testimony in the lawsuit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James against Donald and others.

The judge who presided over the motion emphasized that significant documents connected her to some of her father’s businesses in New York and that she has apartments in Manhattan.

While her testimony was deemed necessary, it was scheduled for any date after November 1, allowing her lawyers time to appeal the order. As her luck would have it, her appeal was also rejected, meaning that the doting mother of three had to take the stand as a witness in the non-jury trial.
