One of the homeowner, with nine-month permanency, called 911 during the home invasion, and said a man had broken in through the door where she was with her husband and four children. '[He said] I'm going to kill you because you are Jewish … Israel kills people,' she told KTLA in a phone interview. After a few minutes, the husband was able to push the man out of their home and into their backyard.

She also said she has seen him before around the neighborhood. It's possible that the victims were targeted because they have Jewish symbols around the house, she said. Her husband wears Jewish Yamaka hat on his way to work everyday, she added.

No one was injured during the attack, and no property was taken. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass called the intrusion 'a vile act of hate' in a statement. 'In the wake of the terror and violence inflicted over the previous weeks, this is one of the worst fears of Jewish families across our country – hatred spilling across the threshold, destroying the sense of safety and sanctuary in a home,' the mayor said.
