Logan shooting: Man shot by police and left fighting for life

A man is fighting for life after being shot by police at Logan Central, south of Brisbane, on Wednesday. 

Queensland Police said the 40-year-old man was being treated by paramedics for life-threatening injuries. 

The man was shot by officers during an incident on Croydon Road, with police investigating.

The incident occurred at about 1pm on Wednesday.

Footage from the scene showed emergency service workers desperately trying to save the man.

Social media videos showed about a dozen police at the scene.
