Matthew Perry’s Autopsy Links Medication to Alleged ‘Mean’ Behavior

Matthew Perry‘s official autopsy states the actor was receiving testosterone shots, which an unnamed witness in the document alleges made him “mean and angry,” per the report obtained by The Blast. This is in addition to the ketamine found in Perry’s system, which has been ruled the official cause of death.

Perry’s assistant also said that he was smoking two packs of cigarettes per day and had a history of emphysema, per documents obtained by The Blast. However, the “unknown woman” said he had quit smoking two weeks before his death — meaning there may be inconsistencies within the sources that were interviewed.

Per the toxicology report, the unnamed woman who was interviewed, claims Matthew Perry was prescribed Tamoxifen for weight loss and was receiving testosterone shots in the weeks leading up to his death, which the unnamed person says made him “mean and angry.”

The “unnamed woman” mentioned in the autopsy report is believed to be another person, separate from his assistant.

Although the autopsy report states Perry was prescribed Tamoxifen for weight loss, it also states Perry received Tirzepatide injections. After seeing these inconsistencies, The Blast researched and discovered that Tamoxifen is a breast cancer drug and Tirzepatide is for weight loss. While both drugs were listed in the official autopsy, it’s unclear what Perry may have been taking the Tamoxifen for, although “weight loss” is officially listed.

Additionally, while it was reported that Perry was prescribed Tamoxifen for weight loss, The Blast would like to note that Tamoxifen is traditionally used as a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) medication used to treat breast cancer in men and women and as a prophylactic agent against breast cancer in women.

Ketamine was found in Matthew Perry‘s system, which ultimately caused his death, per the autopsy report.

According to the autopsy report, obtained by The Blast, the ‘Friends’ star was utilizing ketamine therapy at the time of his death, but his last known treatment overseen by a medical professional was over one week before he passed. Investors concluded that “the exact method of intake of the drug found in his system is “unknown.”

Per the documents, “At the high levels of ketamine found in his postmortem blood specimens, the main lethal effects would be from both cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression.”

It continues, “Drowning contributes due to the likelihood of submersion into the pool as he lapsed into unconsciousness; coronary artery disease contributes due to exacerbation of ketamine-induced myocardial effects on the heart. Buprenorphine effects are listed as contributory, even though not at toxic levels, due to the additive respiratory effects when present with high levels of ketamine.”

Ketamine is a secluded anesthetic medication, also known as a psychedelic drug, that can be used in Ketamine therapy, a treatment used by many celebrities to manage mental health conditions, such as treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Perry’s “history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease/emphysema, diabetes; drug use in past — reportedly clean for 19 months; heavy tobacco user for many years but currently not smoking; on ketamine infusion therapy with most recent therapy reportedly one and a half weeks before death,” the documents state.
