Soran appears at the beginning of the book’s final chapter. Soran seems to have an ultimate goal in mind. She ran while muttering to herself because it was pouring outside.
She exclaims, “Oh!” I’m sure Seongjun is hanging out for me. A man appeared from behind her and made an aggressive move at her. Soran, predictably, was terrified and continued to flee.
To paraphrase the man: “It’s all your fault!” She went on running without slowing down. With a “What the heck?! Where did he come from? When it looked like he had her cornered, Seongjun suddenly materialized out of thin air. To defend Soran, he kicked him in the face. He asks, “Are you feeling okay?” Her response is an enthusiastic “Yeah!”
The man then pulls a knife out of his pocket. That weapon looks like something he would use to harm Soran and Seongjun. He avoided fighting them and instead fled. We think Seongjun terrified him.
Kang-ho Baek sprints after the man, but Soran discourages him from pursuing him. But he paid her no mind and ran straight for him. A personal revelation by Kang-ho Baek. In the following panel, Kang-ho reveals that Soran rescued a child from the flames. True enough, he was the boy in question. After hearing this from Kang-ho, his two pals gave startled expressions.
