Pioneer Woman Children With Ladd

Ree Drummond may be the star of The Pioneer Woman, but she loves nothing more than being the mom of her children. Over the last decade, she’s invited fans into her home on her Food Network show, giving viewers a glimpse inside her and husband Ladd Drummond‘s beautiful life with kids Alex, Paige, Bryce, Todd and foster son Jamar.

The food writer and her love tied the knot in 1996 and quickly became mom and dad when their eldest child, Alex, arrived the following year in 1997. Ree then gave birth to her second kiddo, Paige, in 1999. Three years later, the longtime lovebirds welcomed son Bryce in 2002, followed by their youngest son, Todd, in 2004.

Since Ree and Ladd began raising their kids, the famous family has lived and worked on a remote cattle ranch in Oklahoma, which fans have seen plenty of thanks to her successful program. The blogger also looks after her own hotel, The Pioneer Woman Boarding House, which she and Ladd opened in 2018.

While her career takes up much of her time, Ree is the type of mom to choose her family over anything. Even on days when parenting feels the most difficult, the Food Network star makes sure to always look on the bright side.

“That’s what motherhood is [about],” she once shared in a video titled “The Pioneer Woman Cooks” on YouTube. “If you can just embrace the chaos and the funny parts, and really just kind of hang on and enjoy the ride.”

In November 2020, Ree revealed her family grew by one when her foster son, Jamar, joined their brood. In a lengthy blog post on her website, the Christmas Cookie Challenge star introduced her “bodacious, bright, brilliant bonus kid.”

“I’m now writing about Jamar because after a year-and-a-half of living in our house, he is an inextricable part of our wacky family,” Ree gushed, noting she waited to reveal his identity because Oklahoma “has strict rules against posting about foster children on social media.”

Fortunately, the state’s agency restrictions no longer apply because Jamar is considered a legal adult. “He’s cool with my talking about him, and he thinks it’s about time, considering he’s been in the family for over a year,” she sweetly added. “He told me he’s tired of feeling like we’re trying to hide him from the world.”

Now that Ree let the cat out of the bag, she “can’t wait” to see how far Jamar goes. “He’s larger than life, has a hilarious laugh and is extremely smart — both book and street,” the doting mom marveled. “He’s a great kid who’s overcome some difficulties in his life.”
