Nicholas Paul is a Trinidadian track cyclist who competes in sprint events. He has established himself as a top cyclist in his country after the remarkable performance that he notched up in the Pan Am Games 2019. Nicholas Paul had won the gold medal on that occasion. Paul won silver in the kilo time trial at the UCI World Championships in October of that same year. Paul won the keirin gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games by defeating Shah Sahrom of Malaysia and Jack Carlin of Scotland. With his victory, Trinidad and Tobago finally won a cycling medal at the Commonwealth Games after a 52-year absence. He also took home a silver in the sprint competition. In the 1km Time Trial competition, he also took home a bronze medal. Recently in the 2023 UCI World Track Championship, he won 2nd place.
