1000lb Sisters star Amy Slaton breaks down as she makes heartbreaking admission to family

Things seemed to have gotten a little too overwhelming for Amy Slaton as she candidly discussed her split from her ex on Tuesday’s installment of 1000lb Sisters.

During the episode, Amy, 36, finally opened up about her difficult breakup from Michael Halterman to her older sister Tammy, 37, and her sister-in-law Amanda Halterman.

Amy, who is now rumoured to have a new boyfriend, struggled to get her words out as she dropped a heartwrenching confession to her family around the dinner table.

Amanda explained in a confessional: “The other day when me and Tammy took Amy and the boys with us, Amy was really struggling so today I’m here to put eyes on the kids and her and just make sure that they’re OK.”

As she entered the house where Amy and Tammy were hanging out, she asked Amy: “So, how you doing?”

To which the mom of two replied: “I’m just exhausted.”

In an attempt to cheer Amy up, Amanda revealed she had brought a bag full of face masks, saying that she picked them up “because you’ve been crying.”

She added: “Amy’s face just stays puffy.”

The trio then enjoyed some much-needed pamper time by using the face masks and laughed at how they looked with them on.

Amanda’s plan to lift Amy’s mood appeared to work as on a few occasions the TLC star left out a few belly laughs.

Speaking to the camera, Amanda revealed: “It’s definitely nice to see a smile on Amy’s face and I just wanted to remind her that she’s gonna feel a lot of different things and it’s OK to feel however she feels just as long as she don’t stay there for too long.”

Amy also confessed to Tammy and Amanda that she was “ready to walk away” from her marriage to Michael during their catch-up

She cried in a confessional, adding she felt like “a used piece of gum, before telling the pair: “I just want to be happy,” and “I just want a divorce.”

Fans of the show took to X (formally Twitter) to weigh in on Amy’s upsetting admission as they encouraged her to stay strong.

One viewer @Steph_Seng wrote: “It sucks that they all can’t be happy all at the same time. I love all of them and I wish them all, happiness, good health and peace.”

As another @BethSwindell16 penned: “Awww, Amy. Hard to see her going through so many tears. Manda’s face mask semen joke saves the day.”

While user @homerjay52 said: “I want to reach out and say keep your head up. You’re a strong woman, your mother too. Children don’t come with a manual but be strong. They will lift you up and they’ll bring you through this that you are someone and someone inside. You are a woman strong”

1000lb Sisters season five continues Tuesdays on TLC in the US.
