Bethenny Frankel has never been a stranger to controversy, but it seems she can’t stop herself from creating awkward moments. Recently, the former Real Housewives of New York star made some rather interesting comments about how she stays thin.
Fans will recall that Bethenny also recently canceled her ReWives podcast, which in and of itself was pretty controversial. This is especially the case given her relationship with the network.
Bethenny recently answered fan questions in an Instagram video. One fan asked her how she stays thin while still enjoying food.
Bethenny, 53, said, “How do I stay so thin? So, I pick my spots.”
She explained by saying, “If I know I’m going to some crazy doughnut place or hotdog place, I may not have the meal that comes before that. But I won’t not eat at all, otherwise, you’re gonna go there and overeat on that. It’ll just be a light day.”
However, things got a bit controversial when Bethenny explained how she handles portion control. For her, it’s more simply not overeating.
She says, “I’m also not eating all the doughnuts, or all the hotdogs, or all the pizza. You’re really tasting everything, eating nothing.”
That’s not all. Bethenny went on to say that she almost never gets full.
According to her, “I also never binge. I never eat to the point where I’m full. Not never, but sometimes. I do not like the feeling of being full. It’s uncomfortable. So if you never eat until you get full, you’ll be fine. I’m also a slow eater, and I chew slowly. I chew my food thoroughly.”
Of course, Bethenny has faced criticism over her advice to fans regarding dieting. Some people are concerned and don’t find her comments to be helpful or healthy. But others feel these are simply common sense tips and could be helpful to those struggling with their weight.
