Billie Eilish is the latest celebrity having to deal with a dangerous stalker. The singer recently filed for a restraining order, claiming she has reason to fear for her and her loves ones’ lives.
According to legal documents reviewed by TMZ, the singer claims to have received hundreds of messages from a man identified as Shawn Christopher McIntyre, 53. Billie claims that not only has Shawn messaged her, but also her family members, including her brother and frequent collaborated, Finneas.
Shawn is apparently convinced that he’s in love with Billie. Court documents reveal that his messages include “disturbing professions of love” as well as “violent threats.”
Billie’s Stalker Has Made Violent Threats Against Her Brother
He’s apparently made a variety of threats against Billie’s brother, who Shawn apparently sees as a hindrance to their love. “I’m hunting your brother and his friends,” one alleged message said.
“I’m sorry for what’s going to happen to your brother dude I tried you know what I’m saying I really did try…” a different message said.
Shawn also reportedly made threats to harm billionaire Elon Musk in his array of messages to Billie and her loved ones.
In addition to sending messages, Billie claims Shawn has showed up outside of her home as well as those belonging to her loved ones, leading the musician to fear that the stalker will attempt to follow through with his violent threats.
“If he is not restrained he will continue his pattern of harassment against all of us, act on his threats, and go to even more extreme lengths to act upon his wild fantasies,” Billie’s court documents argue.
In her filing, Billie requested that a court order ban Shawn from coming within 100 yards of her, her family, or a friend referred to as Zoe Donahoe. She also wants the restraining order to prevent the alleged stalker from contacting her on social media.
Billie’s Address Was Leaked And Her Home Was Robbed Earlier This Year
This isn’t the only time Billie’s privacy has been invaded recently. In January, the singer’s family home was burglarized, which then led to her address being leaked online.
Though no one was home at the time of the break-in, Billie’s house sitter received a notification when the security system was set off, leading them to contact the authorities. Police arrested a suspect near the residence. Nothing was apparently stolen during the debacle.
Billie’s family’s home address had been leaked online before, which could explain how the thief targeted the residence. However, following the break-in, her address was exposed for a second time when a crime reporting app called Citizen broadcasted the crime to over 100,000 people.
