While Jessica Alba has been open about things like regretting getting engaged, she has kept a disturbing situation close to her chest. Based on the evidence, Alba was kidnapped as a teen even though most of her fans have no idea about what happened.
Was Jessica Alba Kidnapped?
Before Jessica Alba became a movie star and a business leader, she spent her early teens trying to launch her acting career. After getting a handful of roles, Alba’s life changed when she became a series regular in the show Flipper.
While Alba must have been overjoyed to land that role, it led to a truly terrifying situation for her. The reason for that is like far too many other stars, Alba wound up having a stalker.
Tragically for Alba, her stalker didn’t just follow her from afar and utter threats, which is horrific enough. Alba’s stalker actually wound up putting the actor through something that nobody should ever have happen to them.
According to The Sun, Alba began receiving strange phone calls on the set during the production of Flipper. At that time, Alba brushed the phone calls off as pranks which is understandable but tragic.
Those phone calls were anything but a prank. They were the first steps the stalker took toward committing a horrible crime that Alba became the victim of and must still be traumatized by to this day.

When Alba was only fifteen years old, she disappeared from the set of Flipper. Ultimately, Alba went missing for a total of fourteen hours as people frantically searched to find the young actor. Thankfully, Alba eventually was found, and she didn’t suffer any major physical injuries.
However, it is hard to imagine how terrifying what Alba went through at that time was. The reason for that is when Alba was finally found, she was bound, blindfolded, and gagged in the back of a truck. It is hard to overestimate how emotionally traumatizing going through something like that would be.
After Alba was found, what happened next was frustrating and terrifying in its own way.
What Happened After Jessica Alba Was Kidnapped?
Once Jessica Alba was found following her kidnapping, it didn’t take long for the police to get involved. Obviously, Alba wanted her captor to be brought to justice, so she co-operated with the investigation, but things didn’t go as she must have hoped.
Since Alba’s captor blindfolded her, the actor wasn’t able to provide much information to the police. With very little to go on, the police sadly weren’t able to solve the crime which means that Alba’s captor wasn’t brought to justice.

Thanks to everything Alba has accomplished during her life, she has taken part in a slew of interviews. According to reports, some of those interviewers have wanted to talk to Alba about getting kidnapped when she was fifteen years old.
Even though it has now been around twenty-seven years since Alba’s terrifying experience, she has never publicly spoken about what she went through. Given how long it has been, it seems very likely that Alba will never discuss her experience in a public venue.
How Jessica Alba Has Been Treated By Men
One topic that Jessica Alba has been very open about during her life is how men have treated her in the past. Unfortunately for Alba and far too many other women like her, she has spoken about being treated negatively by men because of her looks.
During an Elle interview that Metro cited, Alba spoke about men being creepy with her when she was still young. According to Alba, she would be leered at even in a place that is supposed to be about spiritual learning. Things reportedly got so bad that Alba left the church because she was being shamed.
“Older men would hit on me, and my youth pastor said it was because I was wearing provocative clothing, when I wasn’t. It just made me feel like if I was in any way desirable to the opposite sex that it was my fault, and it made me ashamed of my body and being a woman.”
In 2019, Alba made an appearance at Gwyneth Paltrow’s annual Goop Health Summit. While Alba spoke to the audience, she revealed that she was so desperate to not be ogled early in her career that she tried to look more like a boy.
“I was meant to feel ashamed if I tempted men. Then I stopped eating a lot when I became an actress. I made myself look more like a boy so I wouldn’t get as much attention.”
Even after Alba became a legitimate movie star, she was still treated differently because of her looks. Even though Alba cared about acting, she was made to feel like her looks were the only thing that mattered. The perfect example of that is the infamous story of Alba almost quitting acting because of her treatment.

While talking about Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer’s director Tim Story, Alba made her anger at one of his acting instructions obvious. “[He told me] ‘It looks too real. It looks too painful. Can you be prettier when you cry? Cry pretty, Jessica.’ He was like, ‘Don’t do that thing with your face. Just make it flat. We can CGI the tears in.’”
Alba continued, “And then it all got me thinking: Am I not good enough? Are my instincts and my emotions not good enough? Do people hate them so much that they don’t want me to be a person? Am I not allowed to be a person in my work? And so I just said, ‘Fuck it. I don’t care about this business anymore.’”
