Nikko was charged with murder, attempted murder, and criminal possession of a weapon. On the 29th of December around 6 a.m., the stabbing happened at an apartment on 17th Avenue near 82nd Street in Bensonhurst.

Initially, police believed that Carlo, the father of Nikki, had died during a burglary, but it was later discovered that Nikki made up the whole thing to hide their involvement in the awful crime. As officers escorted Nikki from Brooklyn’s 62nd Precinct on Thursday night, she grinned and dodged questions.

On December 29, 2022, at their home in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, an argument over a laptop allegedly led to the bl**dy rampage, according to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez. Moreover, Nikki is accused of first-degree assault, second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, second-degree murder, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Nikki told the responding police officers a lie about what happened, saying that two thieves broke into her house and demanded money from the safe before killing her father and sister and sexually assaulting her.

Police were suspicious of her because they saw there was no safe in the house and Nikki only had minor wounds on her hands. They also noticed that Nikki had no other significant injuries besides those on her hands.

Nikki is accused of repeatedly hitting her father Carlo Secondino, 61, who was sleeping on the couch, with a hammer before stabbing him with a kitchen knife, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office.

When her sister Liana heard an argument in the living room, she stepped in to help, but she also got stabbed in the face, body, and hands. After being detained, Nikki made a disturbing confession in which she stated that she wanted her family killed. Moreover, Nikki was also taken to NYU Langone Hospital.

Nikki Secondino was ordered detained without bail by Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Warin on January 30, 2023. Her next court appearance was scheduled for April 5, 2023. If convicted, she faces a prison sentence that can range from fifty years to life.
