According to a report, Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley are attending “couples counseling” and “spending time apart” as they try to work on their marriage.

Plus, Dorit revealed the “problems” that led to their marital conflict – which was briefly addressed on the season 13 premiere of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Last month, the couple denied the allegation that they’re living separate lives, but hinted at challenging years.

A source who spoke to Us Weekly shared more insight into the couple’s alleged rough patch. “They’ve been having issues,” said the insider, who asserted that Dorit and PK are attempting to work through it with “couples counseling and spending time apart.”

Multiple sources told the outlet that PK is staying at a Los Angeles hotel, while the couple tries to save their marriage.

“They both agree it’s the right thing to do,” said a second insider. “It’s been a rough period for them. They want to stay on amicable terms whether they stay together or not.”

In a recent interview for Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, Dorit addressed the “problems” that led to their marital issues.

“The last couple of years, post-home invasion, have been very difficult for me,” said Dorit. “There’s no area of your life that it doesn’t touch … And my husband, who travels for work and he was traveling the most that year … was the year that I needed him the most.”

According to Dorit, PK’s decision to become deeply involved in travel and work after the 2021 home invasion “took a toll” on the marriage.

“It definitely took a toll and we had our challenges,” she explained. “It’s the reality that I faced and we faced — and it’s not just in my marriage … It was in a lot of areas in my life and PTSD really grabbed hold of me. And with the second robbery, it threw me back in tenfold.”

She added, “My husband, who travels for work and he was traveling the most that year … was the year that I needed him the most … It’s not like we’re heading to divorce court, but we were disconnected. PK and I, we really are very co-dependent and connected. So it’s the first time in the 13 years we’ve been together that we felt this disconnect.”

The star continued, “When we came into this season, it was really important for me to be open and honest and talk about it because it’s the reality.”

Concerning their swift denial of the separation reports, Dorit commented, “This was one of those times where I just knew — especially because we were open and very vulnerable when talking about it in the season — even if we weren’t going to address it, then it could take on a life of its own … So we immediately put out a statement.”

“Not having my partner there [after the home invasion] made life very difficult and it obviously caused some problems,” Dorit expressed. “But we ultimately — thank goodness — never separated. We had our challenges and we continued to work through them and get better and better and stronger and that’s not always something that happens overnight.”

She went on to say, “I think it’s really important that you do open yourself up to be compassionate to the other person … Listen, PK wasn’t here the night of the home invasion and I’m sure that there is some guilt, and some feelings that he … needs to process and it’s easier, I suppose, when you’re burying yourself in work, you’re running and you’re not really faced with it.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 airs on Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
