Josh also seemed oblivious to potential threats, such as other people in public who disagreed with the Duggars’ choices.

However, given the fact that he remained married to his wife after the prison sentence was handed down, many fans have long thought that Anna Duggar was quiet and something of a pushover.
However, a follow-up question to commenters asking about Anna’s meekness indicated that Anna is not meek at all, with some commenters agreeing that on social media, Anna’s comments often seemed “petty and mean.”
That seems to align with a former friend of Anna’s confirming that the Duggar wife changed her personality for Josh.

Yet the bodyguard seemed reluctant to give specific details, as Redditors commented farther down the interview thread, noting, “Agrees to answer questions, then doesn’t answer clearly. Nice, very informative.”
This was in response to a question about the potential for more “skeletons in the [Duggars’] closet” to come out; the bodyguard apparently gave a snarky response, which elicited LOLs from subsequent commenters, but complaints from some who wanted serious, detailed answers.
The bodyguard did reveal that they knew something was “off” about Josh Duggar, although he had heard about Josh’s misdeeds before taking the job. He also revealed that TLC arranged for the Duggars to have bodyguards, but it’s not clear whether they thought the threat was rabid fans, the public picketing against the Duggars, or Josh himself.

Unfortunately for curious onlookers, the Duggars’ former bodyguard, though his identity was confirmed by moderators on the DuggarsSnark subreddit, did not return for another AMA, nor did he continue posting about the Duggars on X (formerly Twitter).
@svartemis1’s X account initially spurred the request for an AMA, but it seems that the former bodyguard decided anonymity suited him best, and he disappeared from all platforms sometime after the 2022 AMA.
