Tish Cyrus was married to her first husband Baxter Neal Hudson from 1986 to 1989. In 1987, the couple became parents to Miley Cyrus’s half-sister Brandi Cyrus. According to People, Billy Ray Cyrus became Brandi’s adoptive dad in 1993.

She told the publication, “Now that I’m DJing and playing these bigger clubs where house music is expected, I started to really dive into it and figure out what house and electronic music I enjoy. When I play these remixes in the club, there is a vibe for sure. It’s fun to mix electronic music with the hip-hop stuff that I love because there is a way to do both. To me, that’s the creative art of DJing… making it all work together.”

While some might expect Miley Cyrus’ sister to be envious of her wealth and place in Hollywood, that doesn’t appear to be the case at all. Brandi has always been very supportive of Miley, and the two seem to have a good relationship.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Brandi Cyrus talked about her sister in a compassionate manner during a 2019 episode of the You’re My Favorite Thing podcast. She said of Miley and Liam Hemsworth’s split, “It’s not my business to talk about and it’s nothing anything of mine to tell. There’s nothing I can really say. I just, I’m here for her, obviously, and I’ve been spending a lot of time with her. When she’s ready to talk about it or whatever, then she will.”
Brandi has always sounded positive when speaking about her father and siblings as well.
In 2015, Brandi Cyrus talked about her family with Entertainment Tonight. When asked what people get wrong about the Cyruses, she said, “For some reason, people love to hate a Cyrus. I don’t know what it is, but I remember when I was a kid, and my dad [Billy Ray Cyrus] was at the height of his success, all people wanted to do was make fun of me for it.”
She added to Entertainment Tonight, “I was like, ‘Wait a minute. My dad is the biggest star on the planet and you want to make fun of me?’ As I’m older now, I look back on that and that’s just so insane. I don’t know why people like to tear others down to make themselves feel better. I don’t know what it is but, yes, Miley is a huge personality. She’s a weirdo, but she’s so normal.”
Brandi Cyrus definitely doesn’t resent her sister Miley Cyrus for being super famous. Instead, it sounds like Brandi is very happy with the way that she grew up, and she appreciates everything that their father Billy Ray Cyrus did for them.
According to Horseandhound.co.uk, Brandi began horseback riding at six, and she has been thrilled to continue with that passion since. Brandi said that after Billy Ray Cyrus became wealthy, he purchased Tennessee property, which meant that she lived on a farm and learned to ride horses.
She continues to ride today. As she told Fashionlush.com, “I have several hour long workouts saved on my computer so I can do them anywhere – and it doesn’t hurt to have a hobby that demands some athleticism. I ride horses 6 days a week when i’m home, and it’s a full body workout but I don’t notice because I’m having fun.”
