Kelly Clarkson reveals the special gifts Taylor Swift sends her ‘every time’ she releases new albums

Kelly Clarkson bragged about the gifts she receives from Taylor Swift every time she releases a new album.

“You know what’s so funny? She just sent me flowers,” the “Kelly Clarkson Show” host told E! News in an interview published Thursday.

“She’s so nice. . . She was like, ‘Every time I release something’ — ’cause she just did ‘1989’ I got that really cute cardigan, too. I love how kind she is.”

The “Since You Been Gone” songstress further revealed that Swift was a “very smart businesswoman” for finding a way to own her music again after her former manager Scooter Braun sold the master rights to her first six albums.

“You know if they’re going to find a loophole, you find a loophole,” Clarkson explained. “And she did it and literally is, like, the best-selling artist I feel like of all-time now.”

The “Because of You” singer, 41, was one of the first people to suggest Swift should re-record her music after Braun purchased Swift’s former record label, Big Machine Records, and acquired her music in 2019.

“@taylorswift13 just a thought, U should go in & re-record all the songs that U don’t own the masters on exactly how U did them but put brand new art & some kind of incentive so fans will no longer buy the old versions,” Clarkson tweeted in July 2019. “I’d buy all of the new versions just to prove a point 💁🏼‍♀️.”

At the time, insiders told Page Six that the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker, 33, had several opportunities to purchase her masters but “decided to walk away.”

During an appearance on “Good Morning America” in 2019, Swift revealed she had plans to start re-producing her albums at the start of 2020.

“I’m very excited about it because I think that artists deserve to own their work. I just feel very passionately about that,” she said.

So far, Swift has re-released four of her first six albums: 2008’s “Fearless,” 2010’s “Speak Now,” 2012’s “Red” and 2014’s “1989.”

The Grammy winner recently released “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” on Oct. 27 after announcing the album at the end of the US leg of her Eras Tour.

Fans are now anxiously waiting for the “Blank Space” singer to announce “Taylor’s Versions” of “Taylor Swift,” which was released in 2006, and 2017’s “Reputation.”

Meanwhile, Swift kicked off the international leg of her Eras Tour in Argentina on Thursday. The tour is expected to last until the end of 2024.
