Kyle Richards has revealed that it was her who initiated the separation from husband Mauricio Umansky after 27 years of marriage, not the other way around.
Appearing on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” Wednesday night, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” OG opened up about her marriage woes as she and Umansky navigate uncharted waters in their relationship.
“It originated from me, I’ll say,” Richards, 54, said of the split following the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 13 premiere.
The “Halloween Kills” star, who appeared on the show alongside bff and former “RHOBH” star Teddi Mellencamp, revealed that the estranged pair are still living under the safe roof, albeit in separate bedrooms.
“I let him stay in the primary bedroom ‘cause it’s very masculine and the upstairs floor’s like the glam and there’s like, a bed,” she shared.
“And I was like, ‘What am I going to do? Put him in a room with flower and pink and velvet? No.”
Richards, who shares three daughters with Umansky and another daughter from a previous marriage, said news of the couple’s separation devastated their “whole family” at first.
“Our phones were blowing up, our kids were crying and wouldn’t leave the house. It was really, really difficult,” she told Bravo honcho Cohen.
“But now they’re much better and they’re really strong. They’re just so together and so smart and they’ve been my best, best, best friends. I could not be more proud of them. They’re just amazing human beings. Thank God I have them through this.”
Richards later slammed naysayers who claim she and Umansky separated “just for ratings.”
“What human being would do that to their children? To their family?” she asked, adding that it “bothers” her.
“I mean, that is just… Obviously those people are very ignorant, but it’s so annoying. I mean, I love you guys [at Bravo] and the show, but not that much.”
Richards also said that her sisters, Kathy Hilton and Kim Richards, have been her rock as she navigates her relationship troubles.

“[They’ve just told me] that we love you and we’re here for you,” she revealed. “Kathy’s like, you know, ‘I’m always here for you and I know you have anxiety and I love you.’ ”
Later int he show, Cohen asked Richards about her much-talked about pal Morgan Wade.
Calling the country singer “absolutely one of my best, best friends in the world,” Richards squished any romance rumors swirling about the pair.
“If she didn’t have all those tattoos, people would not say that,” the mom of four said of her heavily-tattooed pal. “I mean, I’m with my friends all the time, they don’t pay attention.”
“Although they did say that about us. We were accused of this as well by the way,” she said, pointing to herself and Mellencamp.
