Machine Gun Kelly confronted by fan onstage during interview, security intervenes: ‘This is a bad look’

Machine Gun Kelly quickly jumped up to defend himself as a fan rushed the stage during his interview at the Forbes Under 30 Summit Tuesday.

In a video posted to Instagram from the event, the “Emo Girl” singer paused mid-sentence when he noticed a man coming toward him.

“My man, get the f—k away from me,” Kelly said as he stood up with his hands balled into fists.

“Yo, what are you doing? What are you doing? This is a bad look. Don’t make me do this.”

Security then swooped in, picking up the unidentified fan and carrying him off the stage.

The musician’s mic appeared to be turned off for a moment following the tense exchange, but it was later turned back on after the “Forget Me Too” musician returned to his seat.

“My man, get the f–k away from me,” Kelly said to the unidentified man before he was snatched by security.

“I’m sorry, I try to live the dichotomy more on this side than the other guy. I left that guy in the past. I’m really sorry,” said Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker.

“I do apologize for my primal reaction.”

Forbes interviewer Kristin Stoller then complimented the “Good Mourning” star, 33, for his reaction, saying that he handled the situation “amazingly.”

While the “Emo Girl” artist never laid hands on the fan, he later apologized for what he called a “primal reaction.”

The crowd seemed to agree as they erupted into applause.

Reps for Kelly did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The rocker was one of many stars, including Kendall Jenner and Alix Earle, to appear at the 2023 Forbes Under 30 Summit, which was hosted in his hometown of Cleveland.

The musician-turned-entrepreneur discussed launching his coffee shop and restaurant, 27 Coffee Club.

After cooling down from the onstage confrontation, Kelly told Forbes that his biggest success has been “being able to get away from focusing on accomplishments being what validates you.

“You should find a way to love your human self without your career self.”
