Meghan Markle debuts noticeably slimmer frame at Prince Harry’s Invictus Games

Meghan Markle stole the spotlight this week when she attended the Invictus Games in Germany with her husband Prince Harry.

But it was more than the Duchess of Sussex’s designer wardrobe that drew global attention, as fans noticed she looked significantly slimmer than she did during last year’s event.

The former actress, 42, made her first appearance at the games on Wednesday showcasing her noticeably trimmer legs in a pair of Staud shorts matched with a J.Crew cardigan that swathed her petite frame.

Later she changed into a black sleeveless top and black skinny jeans that accentuated her slender arms and legs.

Meghan’s appearance on Wednesday in Dusseldorf is markedly different to how she looked at the previous Invictus Games which took place in The Hague in April 2022.

While the mother-of-two has not publicly addressed the reason for her recent weight loss, she has previously spoken about how she keeps fit by practicing yoga.

‘Yoga is my thing,’ she told Best Health Magazine in 2016, adding: ‘My mum is a yoga instructor, and I started doing mommy-and-me yoga with her when I was seven.

‘I was very resistant as a kid, but she said, “Flower, you will find your practice – just give it time”. In college, I started doing it more regularly.’

Meghan also shared glimpse of her yoga routine in the Netflix documentary series about her life following the split from the Royal family and the couple’s new digs in California.

She also told Best Health Magazine that running was a regular part of her workout routine, but that she’s had to cut back in recent times.

‘As I’ve gotten older, running has become hard on my knees, so I can’t run outside the way I used to,’ the former Suits star explained.

Although Meghan doesn’t run anymore, the Duchess still enjoys a long hike around the Californian hills near the $14million Montecito mansion she shares with Harry.

Meghan also loves to maintain a healthy, varied diet and has long been a fan of cooking at home.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping before her marriage to Prince Harry, the actress said that a roast chicken is her go-to dinner party dish to impress guests.
