Public Will Be Left In The Dark About Kate Middleton’s Recovery, Says Royal Insider

From the start, there were a few details about Princess Catherine’s surgery that just didn’t add up. However, despite the obvious public concern and curiosity, the likelihood of more information coming out about Kate’s health is very slim. Royal expert Elizabeth Holmes explained to NBC News that traditionally, health matters involving the royal family have been kept private. “If information is shared, it is usually intentionally vague or shared after the fact. I think that vagueness hurt them here.”

A royal insider, a former staff member who is still in contact with people at the palace, advises that wishing and asking for additional details about Kate’s situation is pointless. “Anyone who expects the palace to suddenly start giving lengthy updates on Kate will be disappointed,” he told The Daily Beast. “There is a really, really small bubble of people who know exactly what is going on.”

A friend of the royal family also informed The Daily Beast that Prince William preferred to let Kate recover in privacy, rather than answer demands from the press and social media. “If William has read any of this stuff, it will only make him more determined to stick to his guns and keep his wife out of the limelight while she recovers.”
