Shannen Doherty’s ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko has shut down her claim that he had an affair before undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor.
Speaking on her “Let’s Be Clear” podcast, Doherty made the allegation as she recalled dealing with her divorce from Iswarienko while simultaneously battling stage four cancer at the beginning of 2023.
But it seems as though her claim has been denied by Iswarienko’s camp, as he and Doherty had been “living separate lives” for two years before her medical procedure.
A source close to Iswarienko told TMZ that he had been honest about starting a new relationship with someone else while he was living in Texas, whereas Doherty was living in California.
The insider told the outlet that Iswarienko told the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum about his new relationship in January — just days before she got an MRI scan.
But this claim has been disputed by Doherty, who rushed to social media Tuesday to slam the “absolute lie.”
“The truth matters,” she added.
Page Six has reached out to Doherty’s reps for further comment.
The insider added that Iswarienko, a photographer, immediately flew back to California to be with Doherty after she found out about her tumor.
But Doherty told him she didn’t want him there, the insider adds.
Earlier this month, Doherty claimed she found out her husband of over a decade was having an affair right before her surgery.
“I went into that surgery early in the morning and I went in after I found out that my marriage was essentially over, that my husband had been carrying on an affair for two years,” Doherty alleged.

Although the actress admits Iswarienko “wanted to” be there for her, she ultimately decided that she “couldn’t go into that surgery with him there.”
“I felt so betrayed,” she said. “At the end of the day, I just felt so incredibly unloved by someone I was with for 14 years, by someone I loved with all my heart.”
While the “Heathers” actress was “petrified” to go into surgery, she thankfully had her mother, brother and best friend Chris by her side.
Although the surgery was successful, she still had to undergo more radiation afterward and continues to battle the debilitating disease.
