Janelle and Kody Brown split up in 2022 after 30 years together. The pair had six children during their time together: Logan, Hunter, Garrison, Gabriel, Madison, and Savanah. Not only did Kody drive Janelle away for years before officially splitting up with her, but he also had a strained relationship with Garrison. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Garrison and Kody didn’t see eye-to-eye when it came to how they dealt with the unusual circumstances. As a result, Garrison moved out of his family home in Las Vegas. He bought his own home in Flagstaff, Arizona, in 2021. Per TMZ, just four days before his passing, Garrison took to Instagram to share that he’d adopted a cat.
It seems that Kody ‘s relationship with both Garrison and Garrison’s brother, Gabriel, struggled right to the end. According to People, in December 2023, during the “Sister Wives: Look Back” special, Janelle said that Kody did “have somewhat of a relationship with Garrison right now,” but she added that he still hadn’t entirely squashed his feud with his two sons. It has been reported that 22-year-old Gabriel went to Garrison’s house on March 5 and found him dead (via the U.S. Sun). Our hearts go out to Garrison’s loved ones in the wake of this tragedy.
