Smiling Lizzo appears unbothered by sexual harassment claims

Lizzo appeared to be feeling “Good as Hell” as she emerged publicly for the first time since several of her former backup dancers accused the singer of sexual harassment in a bombshell lawsuit.

The “Truth Hurts” artist, 35, was spotted heading into a recording studio in Hollywood on Monday night with a big smile on her face, according to photos obtained by Page Six.

“I’m good, I’m good,” Lizzo told reporters when she arrived, adding, “I’m in the studio right now,” confirming that she has new music on the way.

The “Watch Out for the Big Grrrls” host didn’t seem to be attempting to keep a low profile as she rocked eye-catching silver over-the-knee boots paired with an oversized white sweatshirt from her Yitty brand.

Lizzo completed her stand-out look with oversized shades and carried a silver Louis Vuitton handbag.

Earlier this month, the pop star was hit with a lawsuit from three of her former backup dancers — Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez — accusing Lizzo of subjecting them to endure weight-shaming, sexually denigrating behavior and participation in disturbing sex shows, according to the lawsuit obtained by Page Six.

Plaintiffs Davis and Williams claimed in court docs that they were eventually fired, while Rodriguez allegedly resigned over Lizzo’s “stunning” actions.

The three women accused the Grammy winner of pressuring them into attending a sex show in Amsterdam’s red light district while on tour in the Netherlands in February 2023.

“Things quickly got out of hand,” according to the lawsuit. “Lizzo began inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas.”

The dancers claimed Lizzo tricked them into attending another nude show, thereby “robbing them of the choice not to participate,” the documents stated.

Davis also claimed in the filing that she once had to “soil herself” on stage during an “excruciating” re-audition, “fearing the repercussions” of excusing herself to use the restroom. Davis claimed that Lizzo fired her “on the spot” after learning that she had recorded one of their meetings – even though it was for the purpose of having “a copy of the notes” the songstress gave.

Meanwhile, Rodriguez claimed that at one point she “feared that Lizzo intended to hit her and would have done so if one of the other dancers had not intervened.”

“The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are … absolutely demoralizing,” the plaintiffs’ attorney, Ron Zambrano, said in a statement.

The plaintiffs are suing for general and special damages, as well as punitive damages and attorneys’ fees.

Lizzo swiftly denied the accusations, taking to social media to address the “outrageous” claims.

“My work ethic, morals and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized. Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed,” she wrote in a statement via Instagram, days after the lawsuit was filed.

Lizzo deemed the claims “sensationalized” and alleged that her former employees had already publicly “admitted” that their behavior while touring with her had been “inappropriate and unprofessional.”

“It’s never my intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable or like they aren’t valued as an important part of the team,” she wrote, noting that she is not a “villain.”

“I am very open with my sexuality and expressing myself but I cannot accept or allow people to use that openness to make me out to be something I am not,” she continued. “There is nothing I take more seriously than the respect we deserve as women in the world.”

Lizzo also admitted that she herself is body-shamed regularly and “would absolutely never criticize or terminate an employee because of their weight.”

“I am hurt but I will not let the good work I’ve done in the world be overshadowed by this,” she concluded. “I want to thank everyone who has reached out in support to lift me up during this difficult time.”

Since the filing, at least six more former employees of Lizzo have come forward with accusations.

Zambrano told Page Six in a statement that the original three accusers “have bravely spoken out and shared their experiences, opening the door for others to feel empowered to do the same.”

“Some of the claims we are reviewing may be actionable, but it is too soon to say,” he said.

As Lizzo has continued to be hit with backlash — including losing thousands of Instagram followers and having her first concert since the lawsuit was filed abruptly canceled — several of her current dancers have hopped to her defense and praised the flutist.

“We have had the time of our lives on The Special Tour,” Lizzo’s dance group, the Big Grrrls and Big Boiiis, wrote in a statement last week.

The dancers gushed over Lizzo’s “commitment to character and culture.”

“THANK YOU to Lizzo for shattering limitations and kicking in the door way for the Big Grrrl and Big Boiii Dancers to do what we love!” the statement read. “You have created a platform where we have been able to parallel our Passion with a purpose! Not only for Us but for Women and All people breaking Barriers.”
