“I’m diagnosed with body dysmorphia with reading those stupid f–king tabloids when I was like 13 and feeling like I was ugly, like always,” she told StyleLikeU at the time. “I believed the strangers more than the people who loved me because why would the people who love me be honest?”

Nine years later, Tallulah penned a personal letter for Vogue about how her parents stepped in and sent her to Driftwood Recovery in Texas in June 2022 after she struggled with anorexia again following her split from fiancé Dillon Buss.

During her stay at the facility, she was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.

“I was introduced to a variety of therapies, my medication was retooled, and I was given a new diagnosis: Borderline Personality Disorder, an illness that impairs the ability to regulate emotions and find stability in relationships,” the fashion designer explained.

After staying in the recovery center for four months, Tallulah said she left Texas feeling “a lot better” and was able to focus on Bruce’s health as he battles frontotemporal dementia.

“I realized that what I wanted more than harmony with my body was harmony with my family — to no longer worry them, to bring a levity to my sisters and my parents,” she wrote.
