How to watch Man Utd players away on international duty – November 2023

Erik ten Hag needs all the respite he can get right now and the Dutchman will welcome the November international break with open arms.

Manchester United entered the month’s internationals off the back of a desperately needed 1-0 home win over Luton Town following their 4-3 defeat to Copenhagen which diminished their chances of progressing into the last 16 of the Champions League.

A mountain of issues continue to plague the Red Devils and it remains to be seen just how long manager Ten Hag will be given to oversee a significant turnaround. His summer arrivals are yet to purr and United are currently producing a brand of football that’s tough for a fanbase to unite around.

Nevertheless, the club’s long injury list mean there are just a few players who will be representing their respective nations this month.

2023/24 has been pretty nightmarish for Marcus Rashford thus far, yet Gareth Southgate has not lost faith in the United winger. He remains in the England squad for their remaining Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia.

Rashford was excellent as England sealed their place at next summer’s tournament with a 3-1 win over Italy last month. Harry Maguire, who’s featured regularly for Ten Hag in recent weeks, has also kept his place in the squad.

Scott McTominay and Jonny Evans will be representing other Home Nations with Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively. Evans was set to duel a couple of teammates when Northern Ireland faced Denmark, but Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen will not feature due to injuries.

Bruno Fernandes‘ Portugal have already qualified for Euro 2024, so Diogo Dalot will be looking to add to his 16 caps this month. On the contrary, Victor Lindelof‘s Sweden have no shot of qualifying having mustered a single point during their October fixtures.

Around the world, there’s no Alejandro Garnacho in the Argentina squad but Facundo Pellistri is once again a part of Marcelo Bielsa’s Uruguay squad for their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Sofyan Amrabat‘s Morocco now have just one fixture scheduled during the break, while Andre Onana should feature twice between the sticks for the start of Cameroon’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
