Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Sevilla – La Liga

Real Madrid are enjoying an almost perfect start to their season, having won eight games out of nine in La Liga and the first two in the Champions League. The next test comes away at Sevilla.

Sevilla have not been enjoying such a good start to the season as they are down in 14th place, racking up just eight points from their first eight games. It is a serious concern for the fans given how bad they were domestically for most of the 2022/23 season.

There are a lot more injuries for Sevilla to worry about than Real Madrid, with David Alaba expected to come back into Carlo Ancelotti’s defence. The game will come too soon for Arda Guler, but the Turkish youngster is progressing well towards his first Real Madrid involvement.

Here is the starting XI that Ancelotti could choose for the game.

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – There are better goalkeepers out there and Madrid know that, but Kepa is doing a good job given the emergency situation that the club was suddenly plunged into.

RB: Dani Carvajal – There is no doubt that Madrid are in the market for a new right back, be that a backup for Carvajal or a long-term replacement.

CB: Antonio Rudiger – He may have had to adapt to a new partner recently, but Rudiger should be back alongside David Alaba against Sevilla.

CB: David Alaba – It was a serious blow when Alaba got injured but he has recovered very quickly and Ancelotti has the Austrian back. It’s just as well with Eder Militao still out and Nacho suspended.

LB: Eduardo Camavinga – There is an expectation that Ancelotti will use Camavinga in a defensive role here rather than use Fran Garcia, although the French talent is not particularly keen.

CM: Federico Valverde – Having recently signed a new deal, Valverde is becoming one of those players that you can’t imagine playing for any team other than this one.

CM: Aurelien Tchouameni – The Frenchman has been saying all the right things in the media recently about his love for the club and he is certainly a player that Ancelotti favours.

CM: Toni Kroos – With Camavinga being used elsewhere, a spot in the midfield is freed up for Toni Kroos, which feels odd to say given how good he has been for so long.

CAM: Jude Bellingham – There’s little to say, he merely boosted his global reputation with the great assist against Italy for England and he will be a favourite to score against Sevilla this weekend.

ST: Joselu – It seems that Rodrygo is struggling with this new role, which is opening the door more frequently for Joselu, who is trying to earn himself a longer stay at the Bernabeu.

ST: Vinicius Jr – It is odd for Vinicius Jr not to be the most dangerous attacking player in this team. But despite Bellingham’s immense quality, the Brazilian is a key player.
