Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad – La Liga: TV channel, team news, lineups & prediction

Real Madrid have enjoyed a very positive start to the season, winning every game in La Liga so far, and will put that record on the line on Sunday night when they face unbeaten Real Sociedad.

Los Blancos have won all four of their league fixtures so far but take on a notoriously hard team to beat in Sociedad ahead of their return to the Champions League against Union Berlin next Wednesday.

Here’s what you need to know about Madrid’s home clash with Sociedad this weekend.

Real Madrid’s strong start to the season is particularly impressive taking into account their spate of injuries to important players.

Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois remain out with ACL injuries, while Arda Guler and Vinicius Junior are also sidelined. The good news is Ferland Mendy and Dani Ceballos are recovering and could be selected for this match.

Real Madrid predicted lineup vs Real Sociedad (4-3-1-2): Kepa; Carvajal, Rudiger, Alaba, Garcia; Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga; Bellingham; Rodrygo, Joselu

La Real will have to do without a couple of important players as they head south to Madrid. Martin Merquelanz and Andre Silva both will not be involved which is a blow.

More positively, Umar Sadiq is expected to shake off a knock and be back for this game. Despite that, they may still use Mikel Oyarzabal as a centre-forward while Silva is out. The game should see Takefusa Kubo come up against his old team.

Real Sociedad predicted lineup vs Real Madrid (4-3-3): Remiro; Traore, Zubeldia, Le Normand, Tierney; Mendez, Zubimendi, Merino; Kubo, Oyarzabal, Barrenetxea

The one saving grace for the smaller team in a fixture like this before a set of European games is that the bigger team needs to rotate or avoid injuries. Sociedad host Inter on Wednesday, however, so they’re in the same boat as Madrid.

La Real should put up a good fight, but it would be silly to actively bet against Madrid right now considering just how well they are playing. Los Blancos aren’t blowing teams away, but they just keep winning.

Prediction: Real Madrid 2-0 Real Sociedad
