Kevin Costner’s Ex-Wife Is ‘Disappointed’ He Painted ‘Untruthful Picture Of Her’

Actor Kevin Costner‘s ex-wife Christine Baumgartner is shutting down rumors of a reunion between them ahead of the holidays.

A close friend of the handbag designer clarified that there’s no truth to claims of them being “friends with benefits” as the former couple rarely communicates, and Baumgartner is still “disappointed” at his actions during their divorce.

Celebrating the holidays, particularly Thanksgiving, will be challenging, but reconciliation isn’t on the horizon due to lingering hurt.

Amid swirling rumors of a reunion between Kevin Costner and his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner for the holidays despite their bitter divorce, a close friend of Baumgartner’s is putting such speculations to rest.

Speaking to Daily Mail, the friend stated, “Christine said there is not a blip of truth about she and Kevin toying with the idea of being friends with benefits. First off, they barely speak to each other and secondly, she’s moved on.”

Per the friend, Baumgartner admitted that celebrating the holidays, particularly Thanksgiving, will be “challenging” because “it was such a big deal to do with the family, but she’s staying strong and moving forward.”

The source told the news outlet that a reconciliation isn’t on the horizon for the former couple as “there is still a lot of hurt on both sides and she’s still disappointed that Kevin and his legal team painted such a horrible and untruthful picture of her.”

According to the friend, “Christine said she’s relieved to have her own space and knows in her heart that she made the right decision. Of course, she hopes to one day have some sort of relationship with Kevin, but it’s going to take time.”

However, the insider added that Baumgartner is “focusing on her kids and creating a new home.”

The handbag designer is also reportedly considering a career in interior decorating, as “it makes her happy.”

“It’s always been a passion,” the friend concluded.

Initially, Radar Online reported that Baumgartner and Costner began speaking again after their lengthy divorce battle, which concluded in September.

The report suggested that Baumgartner aimed to use this newfound friendship to seek more financial support from the “Yellowstone” actor.

According to sources who spoke to the National Enquirer, “Christine is seeing the positive side of being friendly with Kevin again since she walked away with much less than she bargained for. They’re being cordial, which is a relief to Kevin. Even after all this bad blood, he still has a sweet spot for her.”

The insider continued: “But the feeling is Christine’s using that to her advantage —getting him to drop his guard in the hopes he’ll give her more money.”

They Arrived At An ‘Amicable Resolution’ In Their Divorce Proceedings

Baumgartner initiated the divorce process in May at the Santa Barbara County Superior Court, seeking to end her 18-year marriage to Costner.

During the process, the former couple focused primarily on their three children – Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13, and the child support arrangements.

However, despite their prenuptial agreement, child support arrangements and legal fees became a point of contention.

The lengthy legal dispute was finally concluded in September, with Costner and Baumgartner’s reps revealing to The Times that “Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings.”

However, TMZ reported that the mom-of-three agreed to the terms outlined in a “3-page settlement letter,” avoiding potential repayment of “more than $1 million” to Costner and covering his attorney’s fees if she challenged the judgment.

The settlement terms may mirror an earlier offer by Costner, which proposed a monthly child support payment of $75,000.

Before the proposal, Baumgartner initially received $129,000 per month in child support payments and sought an increase to $161,000. However, following a two-day hearing in September, a judge ruled for the “Dance with Wolves” actor to pay $63,000 per month to support their three children.
