Early Years and College Career

He was named to the first team of the CAA twice, and in 2016 he was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Year. Tanoh was a standout student in the classroom as well, keeping a 3.74 GPA and getting internships with PwC to work on audit and tax projects.

NFL Draft and Professional Career

NFL scouts and commentators were impressed by Kpassagnon’s performance at the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine. He was considered one of the best defensive ends in the draft and was predicted to go anywhere from the second to the fourth round.

He was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 59th overall selection, making him the highest-drafted Villanova player since Howie Long in 1981.

Kpassagnon was primarily a backup player to Alex Okafor and Frank Clark during his four seasons with the Chiefs. In 2020, when he started 15 games and finished with seven sacks, 28 tackles, and a forced fumble, he had his greatest season.
